Building ideas together

It has been an intensive, fun and productive week! We are now able to perceive better each other's culture, and use that to boost our creative thoughts.

One of our activities in this week involved showing some of our favorite sites to the others and explaining why we like them. It could be motivated by anything, from content to usability or even other reasons. Some of the sites pointed by me and my colleagues are linked below. Mine is the first one, because I can host my trip pictures without ceasing my rights over them, instead of doing so in a web service that would need agreement on a contract or similar type of document. Thus, I chose to host them in a server I control. There are also many cool links, from online courses to games, that can be accessed below.

Besides, to tighten our bonds even more, we had a Brazilian lunch on Sunday, and plan to have international meals from our countries from time to time, so that we see each other in the weekends and learn more about our colleagues and their cultures. That is catalyzed by our language board in the office, on which we write some words of interest in each of our languages, and also in English and German, so that we get to learn a bit more of the languages we speak.

Still about languages, I am pleased that besides English, I am able to communicate in Spanish with four of my colleagues, or even in Portuguese with one of them. This makes our office a very interesting place to learn and practice other languages as well.

I'm very glad to be here, and I feel this is shared by my teammates. Besides working hard, we are having a truly amazing time here!

Teamwork “The bBox and its assignment”

During this week The bBox Team has become increasingly stronger, the real work has started and the project is crossing through its first stage, one accompanied by independence and a lot more responsibility. As well, as days keep passing by, the assignment becomes clear and the group is reaching cohesion.
This week, we had the chance to hold a presentation to the HR Department - spectacular one! And it demonstrated the potential of the project. Moreover, the trip to Frankfurt gave us new expectations and it was a great opportunity to meet people from different countries.
Thank you very much AIESEC and your "TWIN CONFERENCE".

P.S. We hope that will happen again.

bBox-What is to be an excellent internship at Fiducia IT AG!

                  Here we are...

Eight international AIESECers from eight different countries from around the world: Nair from Argentina, Clara from China, Delyana  from Bulgaria, Aldo from Panama, Felipe from Colombia, Paulo from Brazil, Stan from the Czech Republic and me, Claudia, from Romania.

Why together in Karlsruhe? Well, we have all liked the idea AIESEC & Fiducia IT AG had, that of an innovative project-bBox-.
What is it all about? Well, can you think of the way people interact in a bank these days? Can you imagine how many processes composed of multiple operations is a person working in a bank supposed to run in a day? And most important, the way people use technology in order to do banking?
All these are what dragged us into a single united team that is enthusiastic, young and open minded and that is willing to follow simple but firm steps so that at the end of the six months project, we achieve our goal-creating the bBox concept of a new user interface that would bring a great change the german banking system.

Our thoughts and states of mind will be revealed from now on as we, the BBOX team members, will keep on writing, describing and updating you during the deployment of the project...

...this way, each one has the chance to present himself/herself, to explain the complexity of his role in the team and why not share with you how AIESEC Karlsruhe in partnership with the locals around the world made possible a unique exchange at Fiducia-one that would make us learn about the german way of thinking and developing, but at the same time one that values the potential of young specialists from such diverse cultures as ours and that is ready to benefit from them...

Thank you for the exauhsting :), interesting first two weeks and for all the activities that helped us forming a team!

P.S. : Feel free to comment, support us in any interesting way, suggest and, for the locals, contribute to us knowing Karlsruhe and its beauty by heart :)
